Ubuntu 7.04

Approximately 2 weeks ago, I requested for a free Ubuntu Linux CD from the Ubuntu website.

I didnt expect it to arrive.

And I have totally forgotten about it.

As i open up my mailbox today, a padded letter sits there quietly waiting to be retrieved, i took a look at it and saw my name printed on it, with "Monash University" printed above my name.

Ubuntu sent me the CD!

From Poland!

Im amazed. I seriously am.

If all companies can provide this kinda efficiency, the consumers will have no complaints.

Opening up the letter, two things slipped out: The CD itself, and four lovely Ubuntu stickers.

The Content

Thy shalt pledge my humble loyalty to Ubuntu.

Nah, just kidding.

But im impressed...will try it out first before i give my loyalty to them =P

In the previous Ubuntu versions, they come in 2 CDs, one is for installation, the other one is called the Live CD, which u can run Ubuntu Linux directly from the cd without installing it.

They have evolved.

They now all come together in one CD, u can install or run Ubuntu live from the same CD.

The CD

Anyhow...I havent had the time to install it yet...but dun worry...i will =) and i shall post another post regarding it when the time comes ;)
